“Art speaks where words are unable to explain” -Pam Holland
Hi, I’m Autumn! I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, understood, and supported. I work with all ages and use integrative modalities to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others, I am here to walk alongside you.
My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, gain insight, and feel more confident using your inner strengths. Through our work together, you can learn to take up space, honor your voice, and move through life with more self-trust and intention.
My Approach
At the core of my work is a person-centered approach tailored to your needs and paced in a way that feels both supportive and intentional. I invite you to show up authentically while also offering structure and guidance when helpful. This balance allows us to process emotions connected to both past and present experiences while building practical skills for everyday life. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, regulation, and impactful change.
My integrative approach may draw from parts work (Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, existentialism therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Parts Work
If drawn to it, parts language can help you explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion. We all have different parts: some protective, some vulnerable, and some that may be stuck in roles that no longer serve us. Together, we can explore the stories and experiences of these parts to allow them to relax and transition to more sustaining roles. By building self-awareness and courage, we work towards inner balance and healing in our internal family.
Strengths & Values
By exploring your values and inner resources, we can clarify what matters most to you, strengthening your sense of purpose, meaning, and connection. Aligning with your strengths supports meaningful and lasting change.
CBT & DBT
Using these two approaches, allows you to support emotion regulation, identify and change thought patterns, navigate relational challenges, and decrease symptoms of stress to increase self-confidence. Coping skills provide practical tools to utilize outside of the therapy office.
Build coping skills like grounding and breathing techniques
Recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns
Practice affirmations and shift toward a more neutral or supportive self-talk
Support healthy lifestyle changes and integrate psychoeducation when helpful
Psychodynamic & Existential
We can explore past experiences, relational patterns, and how they continue to impact you in the present. You can build insight, meaning making, and create intentional change.
Art Therapy
Art therapy offers a unique way to externalize your inner experiences through creativity and exploration. Art can help access emotions, patterns, and insights that are sometimes difficult to put into words. Art therapy supports mindfulness, mind–body connection, self-reflection, symbolism, and can externalize patterns. You do not need to be an artist! Just open to the process of discovering new ways to express and understand yourself.
If you’re ready to begin your journey, I’d love to walk alongside you. Reach out to schedule a complimentary consultation, and let’s explore together.
Working with Teens and Children
I strive to create a safe and trusting space for young clients to explore emotions, identity, and inner strengths as they continue to grow. I collaborate closely with caregivers when appropriate, while also honoring each child’s need for independence, safety, and trust within the therapeutic relationship. With children and teens, I use a structured yet creative approach to make these skills engaging and developmentally appropriate.
Working with Teens:
My work with teens is similar to my work with adults, with an emphasis on:
Explore and build identity
Increase self-esteem and self-confidence
Encourage autonomy through teen-led exploration with a supportive structure
Develop healthy coping skills and communication in relationships with others
Art therapy is often incorporated to support these goals, providing a hands-on way for teens to process emotions, explore their growing identity, and practice self-expression as a safe space.
Working together in therapy, creates a foundation for practicing these skills and translating them into life outside of the therapeutic space.
Working with Children:
Art making and creativity tends to come naturally to children. It allows them to explore emotions and experiences without relying on verbal expression. Through the art process, children can learn mindfulness, follow steps and structure, work through mistakes, and build confidence through both success and challenges.
My primary focus with children:
Emotion identification, expression, and regulation
Decrease symptoms of anxiety or depression
Develop coping skills through structured, creative activities
Build flexibility, confidence, and problem solving skills
