let go, to let grow
a creative workshop series
the invitation
Somewhere between the life you are living and the life you are reaching toward, is something waiting to be
let go.
Let Go, to Let Grow is a six-week creative workshop series for women ready to get honest about what they are holding and why. Who are curious enough to imagine what comes next…after letting go. We will make art, start to ask questions, and have a really good time doing it.
No art experience required. Just bring your curious self.
What is this series about?
Each workshop in this series builds on the last, creating a meaningful arc from awareness through transformation. Using guided meditation, expressive art directives, psychoeducation, and honest group conversation, we move together through the inner landscape of what we carry, what we are ready to grow, and what needs to be let go in order for that growth to happen.
This is not an art class. It is not therapy. It is something in between. A creative container held by a trained artist and art therapist, where real things can happen without pressure, performance, or pretense.
You will leave each evening with something made by your own hands, something considered more honestly, and something worth continuing to explore.
workshop 1
Before we can grow, we have to look honestly at what we are holding. In this opening creative workshop, participants are invited to slow down, become aware of the stories, roles, and patterns they carry, and begin to explore what it might feel like to put some of it down, even briefly. This is a workshop of awareness, not action. There is no pressure to change anything today.
Thursday, October 1st
4:00-6:00pm
Wild & Precious Collective in Cedarburg, WI
*free cafe beverage included*
the workshop arc
Each session includes a grounding guided meditation, a multi-step art directive, group sharing, and psychoeducation on the nervous system and how we grow and heal in community. While designed to build upon each other, each workshop can stand alone as a solo workshop. Whatever feels and works best for you!

The Roots of Holding On
Exploring the protective patterns and beliefs beneath the weight
In our first workshop, we became aware of what we carry. Now we go deeper, beneath the weight itself, to explore why we hold on. This workshop invites participants to examine the protective patterns, fears, and belief systems that keep us tethered to what no longer serves us. Understanding the roots of holding on is not about blame or shame. It is about compassion for the part of us that learned to grip tightly in order to survive.

WORKSHOP 3 | FEB.4.2027
Grieving What Was
Honoring loss as part of transformation
Letting go is not only an act of release. It is often an act of grief. We grieve old versions of ourselves, relationships that have changed, dreams that didn't unfold as imagined, and identities we've outgrown. This workshop creates space to honor that grief without rushing past it. Healing does not bypass loss. It moves through it. Today we practice that movement, gently and with compassion.

WORKSHOP 5 | APR.1.2026
Tending Your Garden
Visualizing what wants to grow and what supports it

Becoming
Integrating past, present, and future self
is this series for you?
This creative workshop series is for you if:
• You have been carrying something for a long time and are ready to look at it honestly
• You feel stuck in a pattern you can't seem to move past
• You are in a season of transition and want to move through it with intention
• You are curious about expressive art but have never considered yourself an artist
• You want community with women who are doing real inner work
• You are ready to make room for something new
These workshops are not a replacement for therapy. If you are currently working with a therapist, this series can be a meaningful complement to that work. If you are not, and deeper support feels needed, Blue Pines Counseling offers individual art therapy and counseling. We would be honored to support you in that way as well.

Tiernee Schatz is an artist and registered art therapist with over twenty years of creative practice and a deep commitment to the healing power of expressive art. She works intuitively, always attuned to the inner and outer world as she creates, and brings that same attunement to every space she holds.
Tiernee believes that art has the capacity to see us in ways that words sometimes cannot. Her work is rooted in reverence for the human experience. Its difficulty, its beauty, and its endless capacity for growth.
"Artwork has seen me during some of my most difficult and joyful times, and in all honesty, is the only thing that has ever fully validated my experiences. I am so honored to share this series with you and the parts of you desiring to be seen more fully."
